Our 200-hour training is grounded in traditional Ashtanga Yoga and blends modern alignment principles with hands-on teaching practice. It’s not just about learning poses. It’s about understanding the purpose behind each movement, the philosophy that grounds the practice, and how to share yoga in a way that feels authentic to you.

You’ll develop a strong personal practice that combines asana, pranayama, and meditation. You will learn to create safe, creative sequences that serve different bodies and intentions. Most importantly, you’ll teach your first class with confidence, supported by experienced teachers who have guided hundreds of students through this same journey.

Your training blends daily practice, guided study, and hands-on teaching experience. Theory meets practice. Tradition meets innovation. You’ll learn to stay a curious student while becoming an inspiring teacher.

Your Daily Practice

Morning Vinyasa Flow
Dive into dynamic sequences that blend traditional Ashtanga with modern, functional movement. Build strength and flexibility while exploring ladder sequencing, peak postures, Mandala Flow, and music-driven classes. You will master the art of linking breath with movement and leave with fresh inspiration for teaching creative flows.

Ashtanga Vinyasa Foundation
Progress from modified sequences in week one to the full Ashtanga Primary Series. Learn key postures like Chaturanga, Headstand, Warriors, and Wheel Pose. This builds the foundation for Mysore-style self-practice and gives you the structure that makes Vinyasa creativity possible.

Saturday Special: Rocket Vinyasa
Julia’s signature class: playful, powerful, and set to an energising playlist. Dive into arm balances, inversions, and creative transitions. This is “Progressive Ashtanga” at its most fun. You come ready to challenge yourself and laugh along the way.

Teaching Skills & Methodology

Learn to design and lead a complete 60-minute Vinyasa Flow class. You will practice using your voice, setting pace and rhythm, demonstrating poses, and modifying for all levels. From giving adjustments to guiding relaxation and meditation, you’ll build the confidence to teach your very first class. During the whole process you receive real-time feedback to refine your approach.

Hands-on practice includes:

  • Crafting clear, effective cues
  • Finding your presence as a teacher
  • Setting meaningful intentions
  • Teaching pranayama and meditation techniques

Anatomy & Physiology

Interactive sessions where you explore how your body moves in yoga. Understand the musculoskeletal system, the science of stretching, spine mechanics, and shoulder and hip stability. Learn why certain poses challenge you and how to modify your practice to work with your body. Props, variations, and the nervous system’s role in practice all come into play here.

Technical Workshops

Playful, focused sessions where you’ll build strength, flexibility, and stamina while mastering:

  • Hip Opening – Unlock tight hips and understand their role in deeper poses
  • Backbends – Build strength and confidence in heart-opening postures
  • Arm Balances – Find lightness and control in challenging shapes
  • Inversions – Go upside down with proper technique and safety
  • Transitions – Flow smoothly and creatively between postures

Yoga Philosophy
Explore the historical roots and modern relevance of yoga. Study Patanjali’s 8 Limbs, dive into the Yamas and Niyamas, and see how Ashtanga evolved into today’s dynamic styles. Here, philosophy isn’t just theory. It’s a lens for understanding yourself and living with more intention.

Pranayama & Meditation
Each morning begins with breathwork and meditation. Learn techniques that calm your nervous system, release stress, and create mental clarity. You’ll experience the benefits firsthand and understand how to integrate these practices into your teaching and daily life.

Ayurveda Foundations
Meet the three doshas – Kapha, Pitta, and Vata – and learn to recognise imbalances in yourself and others. Discover natural remedies and lifestyle practices that bring your body and mind back into balance. Ayurveda meets yoga to create a holistic approach to well-being.

With over twelve years of experience leading intermediate and advanced trainings across three continents, Julia has guided thousands of teachers through their certifications. A dedicated Ashtanga and Rocket Yoga practitioner, she has a deep passion for functional anatomy. Her teaching combines precision and warmth, blending tradition with a modern, progressive approach.
